Tankers, I have been acquiring star brigade figures and some of them have been MOC. I want then out, but I dont want to damage the card art for the 94 characters since the line reverted to different character art then.
Any suggestions for breaking them out safely? |

A very new, very sharp exacto blade, run along the edge of the bubble, making sure not to dig into the card art.

The outer edge where the bubble material is on the card removing the whole piece? or the edge where the material actually starts to form the bubble leaving part of the bubble behind on the card? |

3dJoes.com had a few pictures of the process... however it's been a while and I can't remember where they were posted... check out the sticky at the top of the forum, I seem to remember him posting it there... perhaps he'll chime in here too. His name is Carson.

The edge where the material actually starts to form the bubble leaving part of the bubble behind on the card. Otherwise you risk cutting off the art or something.

what they said. but i don't worry about cutting the bubble so close the first time around. it is very easy to trim once the edges are exposed. good luck. |

All good tips!
Yep, what Xero / Jeff said. Use a brand new xacto knife. Cut maybe a quarter inch above where it hits cardboard so as to not cut / damage the card art. Then come back in for a second pass to trim it down to bare minimum. I store my full cards in my old jumbo cases with the figures, so I got rid of as much of the protruding bubble as possible without peeling off the rims. Have fun liberating those figures! There's no better feeling than cracking open some 20+ year old toys :-)
