So I've been collecting for over 30 years, and seriously collecting for the last 10. I'm getting down to a smaller list of vehicles and figures that remain in my wants list, and several of them just seem out of reach. Not that they are not available, I simply refuse to pay Ebay prices for certain things. Here is my top 10 descending list of ARAH figures that I'm diligently waiting to find (at the right price).
10) Defiant: very pricey, hoping for a miracle yard sale somewhere. 9) Starduster: wasn't he like $2.99 with flag points? Now over $100! Crazy! 8) Gold Head Steel Brigade: same as Starduster 7) Secto Viper: tuff to find complete and not cost a lot. 6) Mickey Mouse CC: to me, harder to find than SD or GHSB because he's counterfeited a lot. 5) Rolling Thunder: $150! Really? 4) Viper Pilot: Had a pristine one, sold him to pay for a bigger lot. Haven't seen one that nice in a while. 3) Cobra Missile Command: another counterfeit magnet, very hard to find. 2). Dreadnok ground/air: too few made, too few still complete. 1). Night Force Charbroil: pricey, scarce, hard to find complete. What are your top 10 holy grails of ARAH?

The way I see it, I guess, is that if I wanted something bad enough I'd pay what I had to. Having said that, I have t pulled the trigger on an '83 Headquarters, TD, or Rolling thunder yet. Partly because of space and partly because of price. I figure I've gone all these years without them, it won't hurt to wait some more.

I pulled the trigger on some of the stuff that I really, really wanted (Rolling Thunder, Crusader, Razorback, Bugg and lastly Roddy Piper). And yes, I know have to sleep with one eye open so the Wife does not chop off something of even greater value to me, but it was all worth it.
Still missing: USS Flagg Hammerhead Defiant Action Force Headquarters Hiss II NF Crazylegs 2009 Convention Foreign Figures (Manleh, Shirmik etc) Tactical Battle Platform Check Point Alpha Joseph Colton 2014 Con |

Flagg, Terrordrome, Night Raven, WHALE, Hydrofoil, Stealth Bomber, Shuttle Complex...
I do have room for this stuff, but it's being taken up by tons of other Joes. Add Bridgelayer, Equalizer, and Mauler to round out 10 wants that I have no future acquisition plans for. |

Rolling Thunder and Defiant for me.
Been looking for an opened but unassembled version of both for a long time. I have been burned too many times on "MISB" items b/t GI Joe and MOTU, so I only buy opened/unassembled to make sure they are actually new |

I have never heard of anyone counterfeiting a Cobra Missile Command. I'm not saying it never happened, but it's hard for me to consider it a magnet of it when I have never heard of one. Counterfeit stuff is almost always figures because they are cheaper to produce. Yes, there is a reproduction Missile Base out there, but it's easy to see it isn't the real deal because it is so much better than the real deal. All the cardboard is out, replaced with really sturdy plastic parts. Because the original was cardboard, I never wanted one. When the repro came along, I jumped right on it.

1. USS Flagg: The main reason is because of the condition. I don't need a sealed one by any means, but I do want one that hasn't had stickers applied, like ever. Just one of my pet peeves when it comes to vintage vehicles, I guess...
2. Blue SNAKE: ditto. Actually, any vehicle is difficult to find loose with unapplied stickers, but this is one of the few from the '82-'86 era that I still need. I'm still kicking myself for missing one on eBay for about $90 or so... 3. GHSB: Honestly, he hasn't been THAT much of a priority for me, since I guess if I wanted to plunk down the cash, I could get a minty one rather more easily than the two listed above... but I am kind of waiting for a good deal on this guy, hopefully a trade. You know, I think I'm just going to leave it at three, for now. These are the ones I want the most but have actually been "difficult" to find. Ever since I cut down on collecting foreign stuff the few other holes in my collection have more to do with me not really making the effort; I'm happy to wait for future Joe Cons to get the figures I want in person, for a good price, and to save on shipping. 1. Flagg
2. Terror Drome 3. Defiant 4. Moray 5. Night Raven 6. Condor 7. TTBP 8. 84 Storm Shadow 9. 84 Firefly 10. 85 Snake Eyes The vehicles I listed are either out of my price range or just difficult for me to find in complete condition. The figures are just for sentimental reasons, as they were the ones that I could never find when they were initially released.
