Hello, I am new here. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to properly store a GI Joe General playset? I have a complete GI Joe General playset from 1990 and I have traditionally stored it on its side in a plastic storage tote. I would like to store it wheels down, but I have been having difficulty finding any storage bin that is large enough to hold it. By my measurements, it measures ~25"X28" in width and depth.
Does anyone else have any storage recommendations? |

Leave it on the sides to avoid any unecessary stress on the wheel pegs to avoid breaking them off the main body.

You can store it on a shelf with the wheels down. Just wrap it in a blanket to keep dust off of it and put something under the frame to keep the wheels suspended in the air.
I used to use sports cards boxes under the frame of my defiant to keep the wheels in the air, same works for the general.

If money is no issue, for large items like the General, Terrordrome, Defiant, etc., the only container I found big enough to store them in are those large outdoor storage containers, normally meant for seasonal storage (i.e. pool equipment, seat cushions). I guess it could be justified using indoors as a toy storage bin:
Patio Chic Storage Bench | Deck Boxes & Patio Storage | Rubbermaid Don't know if this is the same one I looked into, you'll have to check your interior dimensions. Also the complaint(s) about warped top was not an issue as it would be used indoors. |

Jumping in on this question . . .
I will be moving soon (will be joining the military and will BE moved). How do you best store/transport the larger vehicles/playsets? I have a Terrordrome and a Defiant which both need to get from here to my first duty station unbroken. Any ideas? Thanks |
