I would like to tighten some of my vintage Joes. They are in great shape, but some are very wobbly, with loose joints and some old screws too.
I'm a beginner, and would like to know if there is a way to save them. If anyone could give me a link or some info of what I should do please do so. I would be very grateful. Thank You. |

Be careful, torsos often just shatter... then shoulders shear off when installing the replacement torso. Yeah, my Zap has no arms, but his arms have thumbs, to bad the shoulder joints broke.

Thank you. It's just a loose waist though, but thank you for the help.

As a side note I have shattered 3 Serpentor torsos while doing repairs. He is the worst offender. i don't think I've actually had another torso shatter like that.

You'd be amazed at what a new o-ring does for a figure... tightens the waist of course, but will also help the thighs, arms and head. I love replacing the o-rings.

You guys should try heating those figures in some hot water first. Makes the plastic soften a bit so its not as prone to breaking.

Hello all of you i start to collect vintage gijoe in beggin of 2013 and i have many of the figures of the period 1983-1990 its the only figures i like. ok so many of the figures i buy have loose legs or arms or loose swivel arms and so here what i did.
First of all i find a video on youtube about this part of loose figures and i fix them. Second a found a tip like in the video Mild Bill post here BUT i didnt use this method in the video because it take a lot of time, i just put glue on the one part of leg and i put to see if the the legs fix, i did it many times. i did the same in the arms i take the inside place and i put glue and i check if its the arms fixed but dont put many glue because you will have problem with the head. I will try to make a video to post but i dont have other loose gijoes i fix them all :/........

I really can't stand glue, so I just use duct tape and cotton yarn for fixing loose joints.
