Details from the picture: The three to the far left in each row are from the 1989 SM Equalizer. I have them there as a reference to color and shininess and they are hard plastic. The other ones from my knowledge are 1985 Mauler mudflaps made from rubber. As you can see the part number is different on the bottom 3 (M-3915) versus the middle and top rows (M-3931). Anyone have any information on this?

If I'm not mistaken, there are two different mudflaps on these vehicles. The left front and right rear would be the same part, as would the right front and left rear would be the other part #.

Just a word of caution. I have made alot of castings of this part (from an original set of Mauler flaps). They are jet black, and will be a bit firmer than the factory rubber version. Just letting you know...I don't want anyone getting taken by and unscrupulous re-seller.

Are you saying there should be 2 of each number on the mauler or that the first run was 3915 and that mauler should have all 3915 numbered mudflaps? Quote:

"A" bodies use part 3915 and "B" bodies use part 3931 for the most part but I have seen part usage interchange. Flap wise, as your picture shows, there are more 3931 than 3915 that I have seen over the years.

The rigidity it somewhere in the middle of the two. Harder than the factory Mauler, but not as stiff as the ones from the Equalizer.
