The tomahawk is the best joe chopper ever made. I had mine since 86 and it was played with alot. With countless landings on the flagg. Mine is still dead mint to this day. I consider it one of my holy grails. I have been thinking of selling it. It come complete with lift-ticket no mic f/c and bp's.

I see that some of the pics posted. I see a very cloudy windshild. I used this plastic cleaner on my windshild and it works great. Mine was very bad and had to do something about it. Here is a after pic.

I dunno. I think a lot of the love comes from nostalgia. I never had one, and looking at pics now I can see that it has some rather serious flaws. Not only is everyone sitting on the floor, but the vertical tail-rotor is redundant with a second horizontal rotor (see: Chinook). Rather than spend money on a mint one, I might just repaint a Blackhawk for my Joes.

The horizontal rotor is a small technological faux pas when compared to all the crew compartments in direct line of missile/rocket exhaust throughout the lion's share of the line's vehicles.
And while the rotor might come in handy in the event of a main rotor failure, i can't think of any practical purpose for unprotected crew seating. Let's not nitpick the little things, because there ain't a vehicle one without shortcomings. |

I had one as a kid but it was given away long ago to cousins who still played with toys when I got "too old for toys". BAH! I would love a remake of the Tommy. No.1 coolest chopper I think from the joe line, then the Dragonfly. Yeah, the extra tail fan was silly, but sheesh, it was a cartoon. I mean, they shot frickin laser beams at each other.
Another thing, the Mauler...wasn't there another vehicle that used the Mauler's hull but had a different turret? I think it didnt have a motor in it either? I could be mistaken, it's been like 20 years since I have seen one. -The Legoguy |

The Equalizer does not have a motor in it. It is actually pretty light too.

I had a mint condition Tomahawk with the box and sold it a few years ago in the St.Louis area. I've been bummed about letting it go ever since. Would love to see a reissue. |
