This isn't exactly vintage because it's from the 2000's reissues. But in the picture below you'll see the stand. I have only 3 of these, so I assumed they came with a comic pack. But from what I'm seeing on yojoe the comic packs didn't come with stands. So I don't know what I have that these come from. I've never bought any stands on ebay or gotten any of these new ones from a lot. I have most of the ARAH reissue style 6 packs, but I have all their stands in baggies with the figures from those packs. So I'm at a total loss where they came from.
The only reason I want to find out is because so far, I haven't tried all of them. Would take too long to do all 300+ of my 82 to 94 figures but I've taken a few from each year and these three stands work with every figure I've tried. Even the Slaughter's Marauder's and Python Patrol. Those I've had the hardest time finding stands that'll work. Last edited by Trigue; 12-14-2013 at 12:06 PM.. |

Maybe from the 1998 Toys R Us repaints? They came in 3 packs too.
I think I have some of those myself. I bought the 3 pack with Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Lady Jaye. And also the one with this Firefly: FIREFLY (v4), YOJOE.COM | YoJoe.com: Dedicated to the G.I.Joe of the 80's, 90's and beyond! |

I only have the Oktober guard 3 pack from those and I've never opened it.
The picture doesn't show it very well but the plastic on these stands are very flat/dull doesn't have that shine to it that the vintage stands or the 6 pack stands have. Feels like a very different kind of plastic too. |

hmmm... they look sort of like these Star Wars figure stands that came with some "escape from the deathstar" board game... but those had slots for holding cardboard cutouts.... I've got a bunch of stands like that as well in my trash-bag of stands... but that's pretty dang random...

I have some stands like that. They look like Hasbro stands but have not copywrite info, but feel hard, almost like resin. I got mine from Cotswold Collectibles in the mid 90's.
