Can someone out there who has their USS Flagg Carrier displayed give me the height, width, and length dimensions? I am planning on buying my wood shelf for it but wanted to know the measurements before I put my carrier together.
Thanks, Terry |

When i had my flagg, i had it on a 8 x 3ish (maybe 4) folding table, and it worked out nicely.

the flagg is 32.5" height from floor to top mast. it's 36" wide from deck to back of rescue craft. total length deck to deck at their longest points are 91". if you are making a cab or shelf for it, your going to want to increase all these dimensions by at least 4-5 inches for breathing room.
if you go to my profile page, the flagg is the cover on one of my albums. this might remind you of how big it really is. good luck! Last edited by A.V.A.C.; 03-18-2009 at 07:25 PM.. |

Thank you for the measurements, the extra few inches will help for breathing room and also putting some other "boat" vehicles to make it like a diorama.

I gotta friend who is thinking of making his own Flagg. Since he is a genius with plywood.. and wood itself, I can see him totally pulling it off. He told me that he may split the deck and put hinges on it and make the underside of the deck like living quarters for joes. Have an engine room, bunks for the Joes, kitchens, ammo storage, small vehicles.. and etc. So you don't just have to deal with just the deck.. there is more underneath!! He just has to get motivated into starting this project, plus... it's gonna be about 1 ft wider and maybe 2 foot longer! Can't wait to see this project!

I don't think it'll fit on a shelf. It fits nicely on a standard 6'8" hollow core closet door with either saw horses or a custom table. You'd need between eight and ten 8' studs ($2 a pop) depending on how sturdy you wanted to make it. It's not small and it'll take up a ton of room unless you have an extra room to set it up in. Good luck.

Hey, can someone tell me how high the actual deck is? From floor to the flat surface that the aircraft sit on?
