i recently almost completed mine, the first one that came was packed so badly ups damaged it, like they drive a forklift through the box, the only things that survived intact were the booster and the shuttle, then i hooked up with a guy in NY that shipped me a new crawler and lift, and one blue door, he shipped by greyhound, great service btw.
i took the springs off the lift arms, the holes were unbroken, didnt want to risk craking those. only missing the umbilical cord, and airlock door....but do have about 60 extra parts now....the other blue door that ups crushed i re-glued as all the pin joints were intact, took me 4 hrs to piece it together and will be a placeholder until i find an unbroken one... ...now onto the Flagg... I got mine last September and spent about a month cleaning it up. Finally got my cobra stickers set put on over the winter and now im just looking and looking for my last piece i need. I had never seen one of these in person until it arrived on my doorstep, Of course the first thing i did was unhook the springs.
Just wondering, do most of you keep yours sitting on blocks to keep the weight off the wheels?

I finally got one beginning of this year. I thoroughly cleaned it and it has been sitting waiting for me to get a spot in my Joe display. Today, it is now in my Joe display. Only missing the umbilical cord and ladder.

Good luck with it. And since we are talking about condition, mine is complete and beautiful minus the o rings, which I ahve zero desire for. It would benefit from some new stickers.

Man!!!!! it's a thing of beauty, this will be my summer project, last year i did my Flagg and now I'll get my defiant!!!
My one and only problem is that I don't have a place to display my joes, so everything is packed in boxes hoping to find a spot to see the light...

I bought a DEFIANT complete with figures back in 07, it was my college grad present to myself. I think I needed a part or two which I picked up. I have since picked up a second one and pythonized it as many of you know. So I have 2.

I've never seen one look that minty before, Undercover. Did it come that way or did you restore it?
The Python Defiant is awesome. I never get tired of looking at its photographs. |
