OK, I am relying on my fellow tankers to help with this discussion. I have been discussing the worth of Straight Arm figures vs the Swivel Arm figures. Some say the straight arm are worth some cash and others are saying straight arm are not worth a dime because the do not have SWIVEL ARM BATTLE GRIP!! I am thinking of getting rid of the straight arm figures I do posess because I like the swivel arm and I am scared that I could break a thumb off if I tried to do anything with the straight arm figures.
Anyone got any suggestions? Looking to get rid of SA Breaker, Short Fuze, and Clutch. |

Straight arms are novelty. I think only very few straight arms are worth money. Scarlet, snake eyes , and Micky mouse cc. There are way more swivel arms worth big money

Zap with unbroken thumbs should be in that list.

I don't know. I love the sa figures. I started getting joes as a kid in 82 and they were the first ones I had. Flash, short fuse, cc, cobra officer, stalker, grunt and rock n roll were my first joes. I do remember the switch and being very confused as a kid thinking arms are not supposed to spin like this

Most collectors want the swivel arm figures because of the playablility of them, I think, so they are the ones that are in higher demand. It took FOREVER for me to find a MLC Swivel Clutch, and I could always find straight arm ones for some reason. I think that for the most part, Completionists are the only collector types that want anything to do with the Straight Arm figures, so if you want to sell them off, I'd sell them all in one lot and just be off with them.

I can remember wanting to find a way to replace my SA guys with the swivel arms just from a playability perspective. I don't remember how successful I was. Have to check mom and dads basement.

The only thing holding me back from actually letting them go is the fact... THEY WERE THE FIRST G I JOE FIGURES!! They are the reason we collect today. They are the figures that made us quit thinking about Star Wars and collect military figures.
