So I am cruising the web tonight looking for the GI Joe ARAH Apache, a fave of mine from 1992. I find it on ebay and see the price. The thought that occurs to me is "man, I could use a time machine and some 1992 cash to get this thing at an affordable price."
What would be your choices for ARAH Toys to go back and buy if you had Doc Brown's time machine and some 1980's-90's era greenbacks? I'd go back and get the Holy Grails as well as the Apache and 15 1983 Cobra Troopers and Officers.

There are about 4 things I regret not being able to get at the time; the Flagg, Terror Drome, Mobile Command Center and Hurricane.
I had the Flagg but returned it after purchase because it was missing pieces. TRU did a search for another in store to replace it but no joy so I never got it. I've got near complete MCC and TD that I've put together over the years but they are not whole and I don't have the cool memories of having and playing with them as a kid so getting them now is more of a project. The Hurricane was a totally awesome vehicle that came out at a time that Joe just wasn't looking good anymore. It wasn't until I ran across a shell at a thrift store that I got to see the detail and general coolness of the jet. So, those would be the ones I would get if I could go back in time and be able to pay a reasonable price for.

I would make the David Jensen estate look like the GI Joe section in your average Toys R Us circa 2012.

If I can time travel in the 80s, I'll get all the Joes I can get a hold of that I will be remembered as the very first scalper/hoarder of Joes.

Screw the toys. A time machine and I can go back to the 80s? I would buy mad stocks in oil companies, Apple, Google, and pharmaceutical companies.
I had everything I wanted back in the days. If anything I'd stop my dad from tossing out and giving away all my Joes stuff from when we moved from NYC to California.

First of all I would enjoy (sit and stare) the fact that toystores are full of gi joe and then I would buy all the figures, the playsets and vehicles x3. (especially maulers, headquarters, terrordromes, all the planes and helicopters and falcon)
1x to open 2x to keep it MOSC AND MISB (1x for my collections and 1x for ebay) Then when a new wave of modern era gi joe hits retail, I will only have to sell just ONE MOSC figure, in order to raise the necessary amount of money... |

I would go back and get a Kenner AT AT, Kenner Sw MF, GI Joe WHALE. Those are the three vehicles I always wanted as a kid and never got

I'd probably still keep it simple. Although I have a hovercraft now, I didn't back then, so I'd buy one to open and one to keep MIB. I'd also buy a Firefly to keep MOC. I'd likely get a TD. Didn't have one then and don't now, probably won't ever. I might buy a Hydrofoil, but we'd have to see. Oh, and I'd probably get a 1982 Snake eyes or 2, of course keeping one MOC.
