Hey Joe Bros. I'm working on the second 3DJoes poster and I need your input.
3Djoes of the 80s featured every figure from 1982-1989 and totaled 241 figures. You can see that here: Merch - 3DJOES 1990-1994 featured 245 figures (not counting street fighter, because street fighter was not part of the G.I. Joe continuity). 1990 - 36 (18 reg, 6 sky patrol, 6 sonic fighters, 6 drivers) 1991 - 36 (17 reg, 6 Eco Warriors, 6 super sonic fighters, 6 pilots, 1 mail order) 1992 - 37 (12 reg, 6 D.E.F., 3 Eco Warriors, 6 ninja force, 4 talking battle commanders, 4 pilots, 2 mail order) 1993 - 91 (38 corps, 8 mega marines, 9 ninja force, 15 star brigade, 5 drivers, 16 mail order) 1994 - 45 (14 battle corps, 16 star brigade, 6 shadow ninjas, 7 30th anniversary, 1 con ex Fighter Pilot, 1 mail order) So, I am contemplating leaving out the three figure 1993 Rapid Deployment Force because they were the EXACT same figures (mold and paint apps) as their previous releases, minus the original accessories. I am also contemplating leaving out the 1994 Convention Exclusive Fighter Pilot because it was not sold at retail or by mail order, like the other ~500 figures on the two posters. Option 1: I eliminate these four figures and the two posters match up perfectly. Option 2: I keep the Fighter pilot and bump the 3DJoes logo to the right a bit. Option 3: I keep all four figures and the 3DJoes logo has to be significantly smaller. Let me know what you'd like to see! |

I had the same dilema on the Rapid Deployment Force as to inventory and buying, so I agree on leaving those out
I definitively go for option 1 It totally makes sense to me to have a retail Joe poster Perhaps at a later stage you can add a convention or special items only where you can exploit these other items and other lines like Street fighter...

The fighter pilot- being unique- should get a place even it wasn't readily available to everyone. would be a shame to leave out an exclusive- but the 3 re-releases... I would drop those guys- it would probably look like an error if they showed up twice on the poster anyways

Was the convention exclusive made by hasbro or the club? I assumed the club so I voted 1.

I picked option 1, but now thinking about it I think I like option 3 more, as you're covering all figures released, & it is a great one-stop reference. Besides if it's only at the expense of the extended logo stripes, I'm okay with that All being said though, it's a decision I feel is best left to the artist, & I will purchase one regardless of your decision.

The logo stripes feature text explaining what the poster is about. If I go with option 3 I'll probably shrink the logo and add a paragraph beneath it explaining the poster and providing the key for abbreviations. |

picked option 1.
I have never considered any convention figures part of the main line. I treat them just like foreign figures. A nice novelty and not part of the domestic line. A poster of just con items (if Brian lets you) later on would be more ideal.

Original Retail: n/a Hasbro Product: n/a RAHC: n/a Lee's Guide: n/a Compared to the original Action Pilot: Original Retail: $7.99 Hasbro Product: 81046 RAHC: n/a Lee's Guide: n/a So, was it a Hasbro product? YoJoe would indicate N/A. Thoughts? I'm leaning toward not including. I like the idea just thrown out there about eventually making a poster of all club exclusives, although I don't know if I'll ever hunt all of those down :-) |

Thank you for making these available - hope to see it expanded to a vehicle version & maybe even a comic book covers version down the road!
