Shiets, I can't wait to Hasbro to release the TD! Ops, I just spilled the beans. NO wait, I was just dreaming a wishful thinking.

Too bad we'll never see a re-release.

Yup, never had one as a kid either. Congrats. Strange that you probably will have more fun messing around with it now then if you had gotten as a kid though. LOL.

I never had one as a kid either, Cobra619. I always wanted one, but we didn't have a lot of money when I was growing up.
Thank God a few months back I finally snagged one after all these years. I did the same as you too. I sold a bunch of stuff to get the money to buy one. I opened up a seller's account on ebay and sold a bunch of Joe stuff I really didn't need (mostly doubles of stuff I already had)...and with that money I made, I was able to buy a 95% complete TerrorDrome (missing AVAC's accessories, one Firebat wheel, and one gun cap) on ebay for about 120 bucks with shipping included. I compared what I paid versus what other comparable TD's were selling for and I felt like I got a pretty good deal (at least in the early 2008 ebay market). Anyways, I LOVE IT. It's so damn rad to finally get my grubby hands on one after wanting it for 22 long years. But I gotta say bro, yours does look much better than mine. Your sticker applications are much cleaner and straighter than mine are. And mine was pretty dirty (it was in an attic for almost 2 decades according to the seller), but yours on the other hand looks really bright and clean....almost new. Great, great, tremendous score, man! Now you've got me wanting to rearrange my TerrorDrome setup and take some pics. I think I'll have to do that soon. Seeing yours makes me even more excited about it. I don't "play" with my Joes, so the only real joy I get out of them (aside from the initial nostalgic vibes when I first get them in the mail) is setting up new displays and occasionally taking pics of them for me to admire as desktop wallpapers here on my pc. Yeah, I'm definitely gonna make a new setup and take some pics. I'll post them in the "Show Us Your Collection" thread. It's about time I updated my collection pics anyway. Thanks for showing us your new TerrorDrome, Cobra619. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that it really takes us back and awakens that GI Joe lovin' kid in all of us. Awesome, bro. BTW....I love that Crimson Guard setup ya got there. I wish I had that many SieGies! I only have 3 right now myself. 2 of them stick next to Tomax and Xamot and then the other one is standing next to an extra lone Xamot I acquired recently. I do have a Python Patrol SieGie....but I don't really know where to put him yet. Thanks again for posting these pics. It's so freaking nice to see the awesomeness of the TerrorDrome fully manned with Real American Hero figs.

Had one as a kid... lost it over time. Last year I did a logo design for a guy and he paid me with a complete TD... Man, I missed it!
Yours looks awesome! Are Destro & the Baroness back there talkin' dirty to each other again? |
