Just got out my vintage Skystriker for the first time in 25 years. I'm wondering. Are the seats with chutes attached alot more valuable than those without chutes?
The darn parachutes just get in the way and get tangled way too quickly... no wonder they are so hard to find. Everyone must have cut them off in the first 5 minutes and thrown them away. |

nevermind. After about 10 minutes each, I was able to untie the parachutes from the seats - so I put the chutes safely away and I could always reattach them...

All of my skystrikers still have the parachutes. I wish I could just figure out how to fold them up nicely and put them behind the seat.

You bascially keep folding them in half until you get one long piece that you then fold in sections (the size of the height of the seat) and then put it in the back and put an elastic over the seat and the parachute. Elastic is also used to hold the figure in the seat when you throw the parachute up. I once launched Ripcord in the seat and I never saw him again, however, the seat and parachute floated down nicely.
