I would like to know why Hasbro hasn't made a new or better turret for the Mauler now that they have made many of the old vehicles form scratch?
I know the mold of the Mauler supposedly broke... But they have made new molds for vehicles like the Claw, Sky Hawk, and Water Moccasin. So why couldn't they do that for the Mauler?! I would love a new Mauler tank, with a turret that can acutualy hold a figure in the turret instead of on top of it. Last edited by IronMan76; 12-24-2009 at 03:50 PM.. |

Me too!
Hey, you never know. The GI Joe Collector's Club was going to use the Mauler as an exclusive, but some of the molds broke or something. At least we know some of it is available for use. If the line keeps going as it's going (past the movie stuff, I mean) I'm almost positive we'll see it, and hopefully, like you said, with a retooled turret! I'd love to be able to use figures in there!

I used to think that the Mauler was based loosly on the M1 Abrams... That is why I was so surprised to find real Pics of the Prototype in a book. But the real one had a turret hatch and machine gun that I wish the toy had!

The molds are broken?
I'll email Hasbro my phone number...they can borrow my Mauler and re-cast new molds from it. I won't even charge 'em for it. Seriously, though, a new Mauler makes crazy with toy-lust. Imagine if the engine were gone, or tiny-ized, so that there was room in the body for a cylinder to sink down into teh body from the turret so that a gunner could ride in there. Yeah, that's cool. I'm still waiting for a new Mauler, in green camo, with a turret that can hold a figure in it.
How about you?

Mold is broken? LOL
They should concentrate on making new quality vehicles in the spirit of the old early to mid 80's stuff. The Mauler was one of my favorite vehicles as a kid. Mobat and Mauler would be nice to see maybe buy again but they're dated vehicles and would like new quality stuff produced. |

Hi,
I'm new to this website and new to collecting Joes, but if I'm not mistaking the Mauler and Equalizer shared the same body and the equalizer's turret could fit a figure. I'm thinking that the turret from the Equalizer would fit on the Mauler. |

True, it would fit. But i don't think that would satisfy everyone's desires. We want the big gun! I know me personally, I don't care if they re-imagined the MOBAT or the Mauler, but i would love a tank that held a driver inside the main body, and a commander inside the turret. |
