I was wondering if any of you might be able to point me in the direction of a good, comprehensive guide to international figures (vintage, pre-1994 ish). I know that yo joe has a pretty good list, but the farther i get down the rabbit hole of international collecting, the more their list seems to lack. I've only been able to find one hard copy figure guide, but it has been out of print for awhile now. Any good sites or books you guys can recommend? Help is always appreciated.

Lee's Toy Review magazine did a series of articles detailing and showing pictures of the international joes last year (or so).

Ron Connar has the best guide available. You can contact him by PM on here. It's got a ton of info, cool little facts and, most importantly, tons of variants. It shows tons of variants that aren't even listed on yojoe.

I'm not sure. It could be. I was at a meet with him about 3 months ago and he had a couple but I'm not sure if he has any for sale. However if he doesn't have them you could probably get them from ebay.

If he is sold out, check ebay or Amazon. It's an amazing book.

I have never seen the International volume of the action figure archive. I own volumes 2 and 3 - the 1995-2003 editions - and found them pretty easy to get even recently. Volume 1 seems to have been sold out and never printed again. If volume 1 is anything like the other 2 volumes, it will have great info on the figures, but kind of light on the vehicles.

Aire's book will have everything (that she knows of, which is A LOT) International in it. It's a 7 volume set. I know this has taken her a long time and even having as much fun as you can researching Joes, It's still pretty arduous and I'm sure she's working through peaks and valleys to get this thing done. I also know there have been health issues that have slowed her down. I know that one way or another, she'll get the info out to us. I just know she really wants to get the books done so it will be in a presentable format.
