This weeks pickups. Slowly completing the 1982-88 lines. Unfortunately for me, I picked up a straight-arm Stalker that needed an o-ring change. While trying to get the screw out of the back(it was partially stripped and wouldn't come out), the driver slipped and straight broke the torso and I accidentally snapped the right arm off as well....there goes $70 down the drain...ah well I will try to sell the unbroken parts to recoup some of the money back. If anyone needs the head/left arm/waist/legs unbroken, let me know.

Yeah, those 82-83 figures are really fragile. I had my brother ship our childhood Steeler across country in a padded envelope. He ended up completely shattered (thighs, arms, feet, waist, etc). Never had that happen with any other 84+ figure.

I have had terrible luck with ‘84 Zartan. I bought one years ago that was mint in an open box and last year the legs and waist just shattered. That red plastic just gets so brittle.

The worst figure for me has been 1986 Serpentor with the gold plastic. I was tightening the screw for the torso after replacing the o-ring and the screw hole just disintegrated.

Luckily, no issues when I replaced the O ring when I added Serpentor. |
