Got an original nose cone for the phantom x-19 so now mine is complete! I had a repro nose cone - it just didn't look right.
My luck with repro parts has usually been good but the nose cone just wasn't working. I have discovered repro stun parts - the flags, engine covers and rear gun so I am actually going to buy a PP and original stun to complete with repro parts when needed. |

Got a PP Stun, Cobra Fang II, Stun, Skydive and Long Range along with some body parts and accessories.
The Stun is a project - going to get repro flags, gun and engine covers. Curious to see how it turns out with the repro parts. If anyone is looking to offload any ARAH figs check out my BST thread as I am trying to get additional figs. |

I have been on ebay alot lately - it's just mind blowing how much prices have inflated recently - figs, vehicles, accessories, vehicle parts - nothing is safe from it outside of the not so popular figs. I saw a MISB Ghost Striker going for $300 - I bought one MISB back in 2016 for $70. Last edited by HitandRun; 06-06-2020 at 11:14 AM.. |

I agree - I mentioned two posts above how the only 3-D part I have not had luck with was the phantom x-19 nose cone. I put off buying a stun because of the flags and engine covers being brittle and prone to breakage. When I stumbled across the 3d parts for it I figured I might as well try restoring one. I can't say enough good things about innovative people using 3-d printing like this. I look forward to seeing the technology improve to see what else they can come up with. I am looking forward to rebuilding the stun.

I've seen a few folks saying they are selling out of their ARAH stuff and I hope they don't get seller's remorse. They will make a fair amount but it will be even more expensive to get back into it. |

I hear you, man. I bought a MISB Ghoststriker around 2014 for about what you paid for yours.

Add to that the fact that I'm doing what i said I never would and collecting ME AND some new sculpt... well, let's just say my wallet is not stoked. |

I'm dealing with that exact issue right now. Sold 5 or 6 months back, and the prices have already increased 50-100% in some instances. I've still managed to score most of what I've reacquired at 2012 prices, but I have to be a lot more patient. Certain staples like a single damned 86 BAT or Viper may not ever make it back onto my shelves though. I'm very glad I'm not troop building this time around!

I ended up getting an Action Force MISB Whale a few years ago, which I have kept boxed. But I would love to rehab my childhood Whale, but I need the rear vanes and prop assembly. Which are the repro best ones?

I'm not 100% on this, but I think Zap Rowsdower makes them- and if he doesn't yet, he's talented enough that he would probably be able to.

Patience, as they say, is indeed a virtue right now. Great deals can still be had but finding the right time is key. Where I run into trouble is when I get excited about something but only see a few on eBay that aren’t in the condition I want and at a higher price. Every once in a while my impulse gets the better of me and I buy, only to see the following day a better listing.
I love winning bids on large action figure lots though - especially when getting rare or more expensive figures that the seller is unaware of and the auction somehow flies under the radar. Last edited by HitandRun; 06-06-2020 at 10:57 PM.. |
