It is very hard to find a good one. I ended up using a broken one and pulling the broken stud peice out of the gun with some needlenose pliers. Then I used a hobby drill to make a hole in the base of the radar dish the size of the stud. One dot of Superglue and it looks just about perfect.
At the very least it makes for an excellent stand in untill I do find a new one. Hope this helps a little.

Lay out some offers and numbers.
Casting isn't cheap, obtaining an un-broken original isn't cheap, If you expect somebody to take all the risk you need to be providing incentive. How many dishes do you need, and what are you willing to pay per piece? I would expect a cast reproduction to cost between $5 and $10. The other reason they're so rare, is that there is little or no difference between the Maggot dish and the Night Blaster (Maggot repaint) From a seller's point of view, it makes more sense to hold onto the Dish to complete a Night Blaster, rather than complete a Maggot. |

You're right, and you're wrong.
Judging by your casts you haven't moved into pressure casting yet...Pressure Pot & a Compressor will probably run you between $200 and $600. Mold rubber cost $40 for 2lbs. Resin is $30 for 2lbs. My time is worth about $20 per hour and I would expect any part would take about 4 hours of work to cast (Not counting time waiting for cure) If you only wanted 1 maggot dish, that's pretty expensive. But I can make more than one mold from 2lbs of rubber, and 2lbs of Resin will make quite a few parts. And if I'm already casting parts for myself It's easy enough to make and fill one more mold. So at between $5 and $10 per dish I'm covering the cost of the materials used for each dish as well as a few of the items i'm casting for myself... for that I let the time factor slide (Because I'm doing the work for my self) and the investment in Equipment (pressure pot and compressor) is a sunk cost that will be repaid over a long period and isn't really accounted for.
