I've been looking through some of the variations that characters have come in recently and I was just wondering if some of you have come to the same conclusion... Nearly all of the early 80's characters have been redone by Hasbro over the years in (what I feel are) better versions... except Frostbite. Some of his "remakes" have been horrendous. His last version might have been better except you can't even see his face... :P Can anyone else think of any early characters that Hasbro got right the first time and have only ruined the look while re-envisioning the character?

agree that it is the best. I didn't even think about the gold headed 1988 version. That is my favorite. So I take it back, they made a good update on him. But I like that the original looks like a metal mid evil mask, and the modern ones looks like a silver ski mask.

Resolute Destro is my fav version. Sports the same type of jacket he would wear in winter scenarios in the Sunbow Cartoon.
Some other figs that looked greatly updated are POC wv 3 SE, of course. Pretty much all the 30th stuff. As for 25th, I like the 5 pack Shipwreck, DVD pack lady Jay, Resolute CC...

Agree with this. I would buy a remake of the '83 version with today's technology, without the large holsters and wrist rockets that the 2007 versions had. An '83 replica with today's technology would be astounding.
