Like, do you aspire to (or already) own at least one of every piece from the original 82-94 ARAH line? Does that include variants? Do you even want figures you hate or think are ridiculous, just to complete the collection?
Do you *need* to have the filecards for every figure you own? Or the blueprints for every vehicle? Do you have to keep every weapon for every figure you own, even if they're ridiculous (like the spring loaded ones)? Just curious about the levels of completism around here. I personally, am only interested in figures and vehicles I really liked as a kid. And I have no use for filecards or blueprints or any of that business. I do prefer for the figure to be complete with all weapons, but it is not always essential, as long as the figure is in good condiition, and has any essential weapons. |

My goal is to have a NM complete example of every figure from 82-94. I am doing well and working on the 90s figs these days but there are a lot to get still. For instance, there are over 100 figures released in 1993 alone.

I am a full on completest when it comes to the original line as well as the 25th till now line. That includes all variants. I am an opener, but do like to have the file cards and do keep every weapon that came with a figure. (even if ridiculous like the spring action ones) As for variants and Exclusives.. only when it comes to SDCC and JoeCon do i buy one set to open and one set to leave MOC.

I collect 1 of each modern era 4-inch figure. I have to have at least 1 of each character as shown:
Everyone except Ice Storm:

This sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it!
I'm working on NM loose complete 82 - 94 and any later O-rings, long way to go yet though. I also pick up any figures that i like after 94 and theres a lot of those as well.

I only collect arah. I am trying to complete the 80's before I venture into the 90's. I like everything complete with filecard. I also nice tight joints and nice paint. But its not always possible. So I get what I can and upgrade when I can. Great topic!

I don't collect ARAH anymore. My collection isn't complete, but it's close enough.
Now I just collect 25th style stuff, and I'm not super worried about completing anything. I want at least one of each character released, and I want all of the pieces to all of the figures I do have. |

I'm a fickle collector, but what I do collect, I will not stop until I have every thing there is. It really screws with my OCD when they change things around.
25th for example. I have every 'foil carded' figure. 1 loose and 1 MOC. Including the original Target vehicles, Piper, SDCC CC and PDD. Now, I do not have any of the comic or tv carded characters, to me those are a different series. I have a Sgt. Slaughter, but I don't consider him 25th because the card is different.
