I bought 4 boxes of vintage vehicles, and most came with blueprints... unfortunately both the vehicles and the blueprints have this nasty stank mixture of wet dog and stale (could be cigarette smoke form the 80's idk).
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get the smell out of the blueprints?? The vehicles seem to be cleaning up, except Thunder Machine's rubber tires... may end up replacing them later on if they don't air out. Thanks for the advice

For books with a smell you can wrap them in a walmart bag, then put them in the freezer for a few days. I don't see why it wouldn't work on blue prints.

Vinegar mixed with listerene can get rid of pet smells out of carpet and off of concrete so maybe a dip in that will solve the smelly plastic

Paperwise, I have used the freezer method
a bag with baking soda or a large container and charcoal. I have done all three with varing sucess. You interested in selling the blueprints ?

Possibly, I have some that aren't to vehicles that I have, but haven't had a chance to go through them. Stuck them in a box on the far side of the garage and been soaking/washing the vehicles.

Arm and Hammer makes a cat litter that is made from corn or something like that. I use it for my cat's litter box but put some in a glass container with a lid and sealed it up for a couple of days. The smoke smell odor was gone from the item I sealed up.
