I did a search and found some older threads, but I wanted to start a new one. As my Avatar suggests, I'm a fan of the Python Patrol! And I recently acquired 4 of the vintage Pythons off of eBay and am very excited about my acquisition.
I now have standing on the top shelf of a bookcase in my living room (much to my wife's chagrin) complete Python Trooper, Python Tele-Viper, Python Officer (who has his rifle thanks to nerdsgetchicks!), and Python Viper. In my head the Patrol is a small unit consisting of Python Officer, a handful of troops decked out in either Viper or Trooper gear, one Tele-Viper for RTO, and a Siegie for special support tasks. Eventually I want to get a Python STUN so that my four standand Python field operatives can all be displayed on it. (Since I do not have and will probably not be getting a vintage Python CG, he doesn't need a seat!) Though, if I could get ahold of vintage "Trigger" and "Lightning" then my Patrol would have a new command structure, heh. So cmon Python fans and collectors, regale us with stories of your Python Patrol collection!

I always liked Python Patrol and picked up a decent sized platoon back when they were in stores. The only thing that bugged me about them was the lack of drivers for the vehicles, and lack of vehicle for Copperhead.
I managed to fix this over the years with customs though so it all worked out. I haven't got new pictures taken of the Moccassin or A.V.A.C. yet, but I did photo Motor-Viper just a few days ago. The custom itself is around 9 years old. |

I love Python Patrol, but that is stating the obvious. When I was a kid I had all 3 vehicles, but only the PP Trooper and PP Copperhead. I loved the PP Conquest back then, it was one of my favorite jets in my collection.
My love for PP inspired me to create my vehicle customs. I always wanted to see a Python Hammerhead, Moray and Phantom, and I have made them all. Soon I will have over 20 python vehicle customs in my collection. To go along I have about 20 or so Python figure customs and that number will nearly double once I get some figure customs done. For my original Python collection I am on a push to get all the army builders to 5 each, I only need a couple more Troopers, a couple officers and a CG I think. I have 2 Conquests, 4 Stuns and only one Python ASP, I want 2 more but the opportunity to obtain them hasnt presented itself. On the end I have 2 Target Conquests MISB and a set of the TRU Python figures with a few extra PP Heat Vipers and Lampreys. The Python Heats are so awesome, and I needed extra Lampreys for my python marine forces. |

I too am a big fan of the Python Patrol; I just recently completed my vintage collection of Python Patrol from '89.
I'd also like to get a few more of the vehicles from that year as well; I got the Stun and the PP Stinger from the Con, but I'd really like the ASP from '89 as well - and perhaps a couple more. |

I had all of the figures at one point as well as the Conquest, Stun and ASP. I think all that I have left of the collection is the ASP.

Unfortunately at the time I really couldn't justify the purchase. But now I regret it!
