So I recently had a Mauler that had the gears loose. Almost no one had pictures of how the Gears should be. Thankfully someone came through for me but then I realised I was missing a part that holds the bars in place so I just bought a whole new Gearbox. Anyway, I figured, I have this extra gearbox and it seems there isn't much info on repairing a Mauler out there so I now present you with a Mauler autopsy of sorts
Here's the Gearbox as it would sit in the Mauler Gearbox with the top removed. It's held on by 3 plastic tabs Pulling the on switch out of the gearbox Close up of the on switch and where the wires go |

Here's the Gearbox removed from the tank body and placed with the battery compartment side up (This is upside down from how it sits in the Mauler)
Gears as they would be in the gearbox (Note that the axle holder is missing from the left side) Motor and on switch without the gears in the gearbox Individual parts view of the gears (Note that the axle holder is missing from the left side) |

Gears as they would sit in the Mauler (Top of the gearbox is removed to show gears)
Gearbox in the lower chasis Underside of the top chasis. This shows the botom of the switch. Note the groove in the middle of the black tab Close view of the gearbox. I circled the ridge that goes into the groove on the black tab under the switch in the previous picture Hopefully someone finds this info useful |

Question: I have a Mauler motor that doesn't work anymore and I was wondering if there is any way to fix or replace it?

I hope Hasbro will re-release the Mauler for the 25th Line.

Thanks for the pictures of the gears. Starting to give my son my G.I. Joe toys and fixing as I go. Had the Mauler apart and gears went everywhere when I fixed it, had no idea how they went back together. Big help.
