I put mine in gallon ziplock bags and put them in big plastic tubs. Sometimes yo can get two carded figs in one bag.

Store in a dry cool area like a storage bin in the garage. Lingering moisture leaves a foul odor in some of the plastic used in toys. Also, I store all of my accessories in large ziplock bags and place the figures in those $1 reusable shopping bags. Also, if you haven't played with a figure in over a year or so don't try to force a joint to move as it may break under pressure. I always use the hot water trick to soften the plastic so that the figure can move regularly...

I read posts before I answer.
I store High Value MOC figures (Vintage, Con, etc) in Star Cases or the GI Joe style cases that DOC came in. I keep those cased figures in Comic Boxes. I keep the long boxes of figures in my basement...they're stored at a level thats at least 24" off the floor in case there's ever a sewer back up or a flood or something like that. |

Get the star case or GI Joe case.
for example: I then would place my carded joes in cases in a plastic bin. For example: Last edited by CG76; 05-09-2011 at 11:14 AM.. |

That's what I do, but the tubs are opaque. I've also taken the step of installing UV-filtered lights in my toy room to help protect from light damage.

I use Star Cases which I have put away into a storage tub like the others above have said about and then put in the spare room for a rainy day.

This is my method of storage too. I also duct-tape the edges around the lid of the container.

I rip open all of my toys so I don't have to worry about protecting the paper packaging : )
I used to store them all in star cases and comic boxes before deciding the methods of protecting the items and storage space were competing with the value of the items themselves. But if you have the money, room, and time...that = Awesome!
