Hi all, I have a question that I was hoping the HissTank members would be able to help me with as I'm struggling to find anything on the web.
I've been working on a display of some of my Joe figures and whilst sorting out some boxes I found that I still have 5 of the 9 Hasbro Direct Original Adventure Team figures sealed in their baggies. I picked these up from a Hasbro employee and I think I know where the others are, but I have more bits to sort out. Basically I was about to rip them open as I haven't got the toys loose when I realised that I'd not seen any pictures of these sealed in their bags. So the basic question is should I rip them open up or will I regret it? I don't know how common they still are sealed. The figures I have found so far are Grunt, Short-fuze (the Freistadt, Mark W card), Flash, Doc and Airborne. They are all absolute mint, sealed, appear perfectly tight (I can't tell fully since they are bagged still). Airborne's bag was re-tapped whilst the guy worked at Hasbro. There is a whole backstory behind these figures, but that's not for now. I have some images of them online which are not the best quality http://www.stevenmapes.com/images/joes/Untitled-12.jpg http://www.stevenmapes.com/images/joes/Untitled-2.jpg http://www.stevenmapes.com/images/joes/Untitled-3.jpg http://www.stevenmapes.com/images/joes/Untitled-4.jpg http://www.stevenmapes.com/images/joes/Untitled-5.jpg So, is it fine to open them, or would that be silly? |

if it were me... i'd sale them to the highest bidder.
you want loose figs for display, buy them loose for $5-10 bucks a piece and sell those gems for as much as you can get them.

well, I don't collect any MOC or MISB, but I wouldn't open them. Someone will appreciate that they're still sealed.
