I think Roshan successfully hijacked this thread... into his poll thread. Well played, sir.

any officially approved figure from Hasbro, whether they manufacture and distribute it themselves or have a third party do so, is an official figure, plain and simple. your attempt to somehow minimize those official figures as merely official con figures is ridiculous; just as ridiculous as your attempt to confuse the issue. my question is why you would do either rather than simply stick to the actual facts of the matter? |

I understand what you're saying. And I don't want to cause ANY problems for those guys. I love their products. I just didn't want to get accused of starting a rumor I didn't start.
OK, how's this to try and straighten this thread out towards the direction I intended it to take: Do we as a community of Joe Fans see the complete custom figure kits by guys like Aly, Ragingspoon, Slayer, etc. any differently than a "one-off" custom by an individual fan? Does the fact that Aly's figures, for example, are publically available to everyone, and we're all pretty much aware of them make them somehow more "grassroots official/acepted" than a single, privately made custom? In other words, does the fact that Hasbro/Collectors Club has NOT given us Muskrat make Aly's verison of Muskrat the Fan-Community accepted version? |

you are confusing the issue. whether you need a figure to consider your collection complete has nothing to do with whether the actual product is official product.

to point out how asinine your continued insistence of a custom figure being an official figure is, even if it is made by a mold in greater numbers (because your need to continue to narrow the criteria inherently reveals how weak and illogical your position is to begin with), you would have to accept that if I posted one of my custom carded figures, like the Quick Kick below, I could do so claiming it is an official figure, not a custom, and thus should be regarded as part of the actual products released by Hasbro. I'm sure the buyer would be upset if I did so.
If you disagree with someone, why can't you at least be polite about it? Your condescension is so annoying that it's hard to read your posts. I recently removed you from my friend list because you just come across as a jerk... And I'm seriously considering just adding you to my ignore list. Why are you like this? You're a smart guy, don't you have any people skills?

I think there are certain "ME Exclusives" that must be included in collections to make them complete, as a genereal rule of thumb. No collection would be complete without Sarge or Dialtone. Piper is debatable, and I consider him a must have so I got my hands on one.

I think you accidentally posted in the wrong thread. I think you're looking for Roshan's thread.

To be fair, there are some guys on here that have so many custom figures, they are getting rather close to having a complete ARAH set with 25th/ME torsos.

There are SO many characters that I wish would be made in 25th/ME style. I'm sure we all have a list that we would like to see made... hopefully we'll get some in 30 for 30.
