So I am going through my 25th collection and I want to only have/get the figures that best match their vintage run figures from the 1980s. I was wondering which version of the figures you felt did the best justice to their vintage one. Meaning I don't want 2 versions of Lady Jaye or Destro, etc

I think I have listed all of the figures that have been produced in either the 25th/ME or POC lines and eliminated the vintage ones that have not been produced. Obviously I know that POC Low-Light is the only figure so he would be the best one but I am asking for opinions on the figures with multiples made like Rock n Roll (single or comic), Deep Six, Flint, etc

I thought so also. He's one of the easier figures to match up along with Chuckles, Recondo, etc.

I understand about the figures like the Snake Eyes with the knives matching as with the wave 1 Storm Shadow but I was asking more for the figures that have been duplicated.

For example: single pack Lady Jaye vs. DVD pack Lady Jaye, single pack Destro vs. comic pack Destro, single pack Ripper vs. comic pack Ripper, etc

This is a great question, but i'm not going to answer it.

I rather ask "which figure would look more like it's original ARAH counterpart if Hasbro only waited a bit longer to make it?"

What I mean by this is that everytime a figure is released with new tooling, the tooling could have also been used to make an existing figure even better.

For instance the vintage ARAH Airborne and Scrap Iron figures shared many of the same parts, but when it was time for the 25th Anniversary/Modern Era versions of these figures to be made Hasbro released Scrap Iron first using most of the Cobra Trooper parts instead of waiting until Airborne was released in order to use his parts.

Maybe they didn't have Airborne in mind when they decided to release Scrap Iron for the 25th line, but in any case I just wish that they did a better job trying to match up the figures with their original ARAH counterparts, especially when re-using parts.

Eventually we did see a proto-type of Scrap Iron using Airborne's parts, but unfortunately this was cancelled and never released.

That is interesting at how they would mix-and-match ARAH figures like the Airborne and Scrap-Iron like you said but didn't use that same formula for the 25th/ME figures.

I think the Scrap-Iron (comic pack) and Airborne figures are pretty good replicas to their ARAH figures.

The DVD or 5-pack LJ or single-carded or 5-pack Flint?
