Check some of my dioramas MFJ. Most of them have PTE stuff in them. It should give you an idea of how the figures work with them. Some are a little tight in the cabin but it works. I rarely use actual GI Joe vehicles anymore. Between how good the PTE stuff looks and the price point they have when they hit Big Lots it's well worth it. |

Only thing about PTE is that in the US it's seasonal. Gotta wait until Fall and then start hitting the Big Lots. Good thing is, though, is that while it's realistic, it's not too realistic. It doesn't look out of place next to Hasbro's stuff like BBi and Bravo Team stuff does.
CORPS is okay, depending on which vehicle, but feel a bit cheap, and have some really bad colors. Might need to invest in some spray paint for them. |

You can pick up PTE stuff from JCPenny Online all year round, bit more expensive then Big Lots, and they do add some more at XMas time but got a good selection all year.

You can also get stuff from JC Penny shipped to a store near you for free if you want. They seem to drop the price big time right after the holidays and usually have online codes year round.
The Big Lots stuff you'll most likely be waiting on like Zef said. They get a bunch around the fall and ride it out until Christmas. After that, it's dry for a while. Don't do e bay with that stuff. It's just too much to drop for what they charge. If you play your cards right you can load up when they have the 20% off sale. I filled a cart and went for seconds during that. |

Yeah I'm liking the prices on the PTE stuff. Might even try painting a few to make them Cobra vehicles. I'll need to get some stickers though...haven't really bought any Joe line vehicles, so don't have sticker sheets laying around.

I just took apart one of the PTE 4-wheelers and painted it black. Easy as can be.

Unimax makes good M3A2 Bradley IFVs and M1A1 Abrams tanks, they are at Target for $29.99 and well worth it. Pretty true to real 1:18 scale.

^Okay, I'll check those out as well.
And how about the overall quality of the PTE stuff? Is it relatively sturdy, not too fragile or flimsy? |
