I was just on Ebay looking at the few USS Flagg's they have, and how the prices are pretty hefty now. I know a lot of us here have this as a huge (literally) hole in our Joe collection that'll probably never be filled. I remember it costing somewhere between $90 and $100 when I was a kid. What do you guys think it would cost if it was mass retailed today?
Edit: Yes I know it'll probably never happen. |

Using my trusty inflation calculator and the info provided by YoJoe.com the Flagg would:
Have been made in 1985 Had cost $89.99 (as listed on Yojoe.com, Wiki has its retail as $109.99) if made in 2010 cost $182.99 rate of inflation chage 103.3% But if one were made from scratch for the modern era I could see it upwards of $400+ dollars myself I really could see the Flagg appearing for the 30th anniversary. The molds only been used for the inital run and I've never read anything saying it was broken/lost or otherwise. If it is intact... what a 30th that would be! For a striaght re-release? I would expect about 200-250.
For re-tooled, probably around 500. |

So pretty much the only way we would ever see one of these, is as a convention exclusive. There's no way Walmart, Target, TRU and K-mart would buy off on a $400-500 playset.

Yep, which would raise the price even more, seeing as it would be a small, limited run... I would love to see it happen, but it isn't something I have any hope for.

Here's a crazy idea, they can make it into sections that way each piece can have all kinds of details and in four years or more you can a full Flagg that can have lots details and maybe lights and stuff. On the boxes it would say, Hasbro is responsible for loss of marriage.

Knowing Hasbro and how things are right now, think $500+. The estimates years ago, when the economic climate was nowhere near as bad years before the 25th line, was $300+. Realistically, don't count on Hasbro ever putting out a new Flagg. Best bet is a new Terrordrome, but even then, I would only have hope for it IF Renegades does spectacular on the HUB, and the associated toyline catches on with kids.
