The Retaliation figures do not represent the first articulation reduction in the Joe brand.
That honor falls to the 25th Anniversary series. Show me a 25th Anniversary or Pursuit of Cobra figure who can do this: |

Well, you might say the same thing from the 70s figures to the 80s figures. Scale and construction are sort of the qualifying standards for determining if this is a new style of figure or just less articulation. The vehicle figures are such a departure you could argue that they are not ME.

A fair point.
I'd hoped we were heading towards a replication of the Sigma articulation in the small scale, and now it looks like that will never happen. Pity. Incidentally, your username is brilliant. |

Retaliation Figures are "ME" because they are in the Modern Era.
Alright, I'm being mean because I disagree with the terms "new sculpt" and "modern era" as they are short term style identifiers. (FYI 2nd "Gen O-ring" "swivel torso" or "ball joint torso" don't exactly roll off the tounge but I couldn't think of a better description). More to the point, I think scale is an important factor and while I want to agree and enjoy Sigma 6, I don't think referencing 8" figures' articulation is comparable to 4" figures (O-ringless Joes are 4"). |

I almost bought one of those figures once. I think it was Heavy Duty and it was because he had pants.
