Just got a hold of Duke v27 and his left wrist was real loose, like the plastic had been twisted. Wrist wouldn't rotate, just twist the plastic inside. Hand falls off, still has a bit of a nub but the rest of the plastic is inside the arm.
Is there any way to fix this, bring back the ability to rotate the wrist/hand without parts? If I do need parts, all I have is an extra Zap but I'd rather not use any parts if possible. Can anybody help? |

Can anybody help? I just made a fix like this on a broken wrist for RoC Leatherneck (not an easy fig to replace). It has the fixed Duke arms, so the peg is on the forearm and the hole in the hand. I used an x-acto knife to carefully dig out the broken peg. I sliced off what was left of the peg, used the x-acto knife to carefully dig a hole into the forearm, and with a drop of superglue jammed a Marauder Inc silencer into the hole. After letting it dry, I filed the silencer down with the knife and sandpaper into a shape close to what the nub looked like before, and now it works perfectly. Mind you, this took a couple of hours and may not work with every figure, since arms and wrists vary across figs. Your version of Duke has especially small hands so you'll have to ask yourself if it's worth it to even try. If it had been almost any other fig I'd have just bought a new one. You can also root around the Tank and see if anyone has spare custom fodder they can trade you. Some people would probably give you hand (dur-hur-hur!) for the cost of post. |

With some near-boiling water you could soften up the forearm and probably dig out the broken-off nub from the original hand.
At that point I would post in the parts have/wanted thread looking for a replacement hand. I should have one of those hands lying around I could send you. I'll take a look around & see if I can locate it. Otherwise for the future whenever I get a new fig I always test all the joints to make sure they're not seized or painted solid, if they don't feel like they want to move properly I soften them with the near-boiling water and let them cool, then try it again.

first find a staple like from a stapler and a needle nose plyers and of course 25th figure with broken hand next take the staple and cut the ends off then take the plyers and stab as close to the center of the part that stayed in the arm leave like 1/4 left showing lastly take the hand again trying to keep it as center as possible with the hand and push it in ps just to note if the staple is to bend it will not work |

You can try to repeg it, but that hand especially doesn't have much of a base to start from (for gluing back onto), and even the best repair methods that involve glue usually end up tearing again later. For that specific hand, I would just try to find a replacement set of hands that matched. The Zap you mentioned would work, but the skin color may be off.
Any of a variety of "blueshirt" trooper arms should work as well as replacements; you'd just need to paint the cuffs to match the arms. As for removing the peg that's torn off and stuck in the hole, just use a very small flat-head screwdriver to pry it out. Similar to the tiny screwdrivers that come in eyeglass repair kits. |

put it in hot water, and use needle nose pliers and try the pull it out, or a sewing needle and try to pry it out.. and then ask around for the same part that you need and trade for it or buy it..
