Hasbro -
I would like to be the first to say please do not listen to the followers and yes men in the fan community. (not a broad term - you guys know who u r) I really, really like the Pursuit of Cobra style action figures. Do not change the style to a "cartooney" style like the "Renegades" cartoon which is really bad animation I might add. I have heard many rumors that this might happen and I hope they stay rumors. I'm not the only one who enjoys this awesome line ( Pursuit of Cobra) do not cancel any upcoming figures and vehicles just get them out on the retail market all us fans r just itching to spend big cash on these figures. The clone wars style of figures has destroyed the fun out of star wars and G.I.*JOE does not need that slap in the face. If we have to live with the terrible renegade cartoon fine but do not change the Action Figures. That liquid monster-viper is just stupid! I would be happy to talk to you personally about this concern of mine.

Somebody's also not paying attention...at least not to the last round of Q&As.
The caveat before I continue: I'd prefer a realistic G.I. Joe line to continue, and I do not collect Clone Wars figures from Star Wars. That having been said, if by "ruin Star Wars" you mean the animated style/line has revitalized the franchise by roping in an entire new generation of kids and roping in hundreds of millions of dollars, then yes, Star Wars has been "ruined." I'm quite certain Hasbro would be very, very happy...downright ecstatic, even, to have G.I. Joe "ruined" in the same fashion. No matter how many hyperbolic fanboys tell them otherwise. |

''TNI: The G.I.Joe Pursuit of Cobra line seems to be going over well with collectors. I know at Joe Con this past summer you said that POC would continue for a few months and then you would switch to toys based on the Renegades cartoon. Is there any chance you will continue to do POC alongside Renegades stuff for collectors?
Hasbro: G.I. Joe product inspired by characters and themes from the upcoming G.I. Joe Renegades series on the Hub will be available in Fall 2011. The figures will be offered in the Pursuit of Cobra line and will have the highly-detailed, realistic look of the line'' I'm not a Renegades fan myself (character's designs), the story looks to be cool though and I can't wait for it! But I want some realistic figures to go along with it!

I'm going to give the cartoon a chance. I mean, I'm not expecting the Count of Monte Cristo or any sort of classic writing or plot, but it'll be fun to have a brand new Joe cartoon on the bewb tube.
I personally don't wanna see Clone Wars-type Joe figures, and if they in fact keep the Renegades figures in the same styling as PoC, then I'll most likely get several. I might get some if they have them in the CW-type style, but will be VERY selective, as I've only bought a handful of CW figs. (I actually bought a CW ARF trooper and then switched it's head on to a regular clone trooper body -- worked out well.) But I won't lose sleep over it either way.

I do agree with this. I saw that trailer and all I could think was, "Oh No! Fatal Fluffies!" Or was it Fatal Furries? All I remember is thinking how stupid it was. But like I said, I'm willing to give the cartoon a chance and hoping that, at least plot-wise, it turns out similar to most of the CW episodes, although some of those are rather silly and boring. But hey, they are aimed at kids after all.
