AMEN to you myotis. i feel exactly the same as you. i don't blame anyone for it. People do what they do. This is where Hasbro has to make up for some of the collectors hoarding, troop-building, going to target with a stupid little number, days and weeks before something is supposed to be in stores and employees actually pulling them out of the back for us and letting them purchase them. They wouldn't do that with DVD's or Video Games, why should they be allowed to do it with toys? Guess its not their fault, "the customer is always right".
Just go to ebay and look at the prices that are being asked for the Toys R Us exclusives right now. Its ridiculous. I can still go to any TRU right now and find the 3 senior ranking officer sets and also the two 5-packs. Why would anyone pay that much for something that is still in store??!? It's all ridiculous. I think the buzz will die down after awhile and you'll be able to find what you need. Try wal'marts right now. they seem to keep a steady stock of joes right now. Not just buzzer and hooded CC. but if not the ever so lame tiger force Flint will be out soon to replace the flint that some of us may have missed. good luck

I promise I am not trying to blame anyone, or be angry about it. I also am not asking anyone to pass up on a figure they want just because some punk kid may want it. I just wanted to hear what people thought about it. However, I don't think one needs to buy more than one of the same guy if it's not for troop building, it just doesn't make sense to me, but that's my opinion. Of course you have the right to buy anything you want, and you have no responsibility to leave a few sweet guys on the shelf, but man it would be a nice thing to do, and I'm sure you'd get some good karma out of the deal.

while your statement about kids not being able to get into the 25th line hurting the overall health of the Joe line may be valid (although it is hard to say at this early juncture), i personally do not feel even the slightest bit of guilt over my "hoarding". i don't feel that kids have any more right to toys than any other person on the planet. if i want multiplr Cobra Troops and I see them in the stores, i'm going to buy them. simple as that. if someone else gets to them first, i'll try to find them somewhere (eBay, wherever). the way i see it, there's no use whining about it. if you want to be sure to get a figure, preorder them online or something.

Where You Located Might Have Something To Do With It. I Think Certain Areas Of The Nation Tend To Get More Product. I Seem To Live In A "hotspot". Local Stores Are Flooded.

In before thread is locked.
Seriously though. We all collect/play with toys but try to keep the childish behavior and whining to a minimum. |

I hope the thread does not get locked. This is a legitimate discussion. At least it has some substance unlike some other threads.
