...Why do you have one of the bad neck sculpts that prevents you from looking up? Why? Is it because you hate me?
Also, his assault rifle is too small (Hasbro and their scale issues hard at work...they need to have ONE guy sculpt all the guns, and they need to give him good reference material, and he NEEDS to take a little trip down to Quantico to check out these toys first hand). Also, his sniper rifle is too small if it's meant to be a .50BMG Barett. There's a company that makes similar looking rifles in .308 though so maybe that's what it is supposed to be. On the subject of sniper rifles, why do both Jungle-Viper and Recondo have sniper rifles in the jungle? Shotguns and carbines I can understand, but most jungles don't give you the kind of field of view that sniper rifles are particularly useful for. Also, why does Recondo have a solar-powered backpack in the jungle? I can't imagine he's in the sun a lot. In closing, I like his manly slippers. edit: nvm. Even if his sniper rifle IS supposed to be .308, it's still out of scale in the same way the Cobra Blueshirt Dragunov rifles were out of scale. Ugh. edit2: what the hell are you supposed to attach to his retractable cord dealy?

Snipers played huge roles in the Jungles of the PTO in WWII and Vietnam.
You SHOULD be asking why the Jungle Viper comes with a 109 pound anti-tank gun that was press-ganged into a sniper role. |

I already did ask that!
And I know snipers were important in teh nams, but so far we've had three jungle figures (snake eyes, recondo, and jungle viper) and two of them have sniper rifles. and the other one is a ninja. x.x

He can't look up because he must perpetually hang his head in shame that he's still rockin' that fruity assed 'stache.

How do you think i feel when everyone doing a sniper custom uses a Barrett? Fact remains that the L-39 wasn't designed for sniping, it just happened to get used in the role. Would it have been nice for them to do a new SVD, or hell, an OSV-96 or KSVK? Damn right, but this is Hasbro, they'll never do everything right. ;) Quote:

Yeah, I mean apparently every blueshirt and his brother was sniper qualified and had a Dragnov, but after that things got weird. I always though Snow Job should use a 03A3, or maybe a scoped M1. How come we don't see 'Condo rockin' an M24? The CG's, to me, should have always came with a scoped 91/30.
There are so many great rifles, past and present, but everyone hops on the Barrett train. I can tell you I wouldn't want to be lugging that thing around. People talk about bullet penetration, but honestly the old WWI and II bolt actions have plenty of penetration for most materials besides actual armor, stone, or reinforced walls. Sure it's great to be able to shoot someone through a concrete wall, but let's face it. Most people wouldn't be making that shot, and tbh, it's not even a good shot to take.

Lotta truth up in this bitch today
I think it would also be nice to see some figures rocking designated marksman rifles as well - some scoped M16s or M14s with the EBR stock would be seriously cool. I agree about the Lahti. It's not a sniper rifle; it's an anti-tank rifle, and it should have been released with somebody who serves in that role - maybe a secondary weapon for a HEAT Viper or a new Bazooka. But I see why they picked it. It's huge, it's intimidating, and it looks cool. Unfortunately that all comes crashing down when you know anything about guns :\ edit: I still wanna know what the retractable cable on his backpack is for though. edit2: AHA you can plug a beartrap onto the cable...it's just..why?

Someone in another thread said it had something to do with the traps. That's all I remember.
