Yeah my wife and I had an argument about G.I. Joes....she seemed to think I cared more about them than I did her or my daughters...so I'm getting rid of all the Joes that I don't really care for. Mostly I'm keeping my Cobra stuff and a couple Joes I like. Goodbye Duke, Heavy Duty, Ripcord and the like. hehe. I'm also probably going to part with alot of my original ARAH stuff. Still planning on collecting Cobra stuff in the upcoming lines, as well as Snake Eyes, and Beachhead. I won't be buying anymore unnecessary G.I. Joe figures though. Have you guys ever fought with your significant others over G.I. Joe?

Nope.
Like BB King said, "as long as I'm paying the bills, I'm paying the cost to be the boss".

We get into arguments sometimes...I only have about 100 figs, but I do a lot of customs and it does take time a part from her. Nothing too crazy though. I just have to show her different ways that she's number 1. With my Joes being a very close second...hehe

My wife doesn't love my collection either. I've been lucky so far though, no arguments. I make sure that my wife knows that I would never miss a mortgage payment to buy a Joe. Also I don't let the collection invade the whole house. I've got my "man cave" or whatever you want to call it and my stuff stays there. My wife seems OK with that.

Next time your wife gets on your case, ask her if she'd rather have you collect little plastic men, or dead hookers, that should shut her up. Not to tell you how to live your life, but the way I see it is, if you have a passion for any hobby in life your partner should respect it. If she was into collecting Barbie, I'm sure you would not act that way torward her. Don't part with your stuff because she wants you to, do it for the right reason man. I'm pretty sure there's not one member on here that that loves GI Joe more than their own family. It's a f'n toy for crying out loud!!!

I'm still trying to figure out why so many women are born with a sense of entitlement that they think they can dictate what my hobbies will or will not be, all things considered.

My G.I.Joe collection is in the garage and all the customs I make are done in the garage while wife and daughter are sleeping. She doesn't like me buying G.I.Joes and would be happier if they were all gone. However, the happy compromise is I display them all in the garage where our daughter won't see them (she doesn't like the guns and violence it portrays and think they are a waste of money).
And to ensure I don't take time away from her and our daughter, I 'play' with them when they are otherwise occupied (ie. sleeping).
