All this talk about Sgt. Slaughter has gotten me thinking about the Joes I had when I was a kid since he was always one of my favorites. So my question is, what five figures and which vehicle did you play with the most when you were a kid?
For me: 1) Falcon--He was by far my favorite Joe toy. Not only was he a Green Beret, but he was also the hero in the GI Joe movie 2) Zartan--I loved the Dreadnoks, and Zartan was the leader. Also, he was just about the coolest character in the Marvel comic. 3) Sgt. Slaughter--He was pretty much a super hero. He could fight off a battalion of BATs and he could stop a Hiss tank with a punch. 4) Rock n Roll--He was my first GI Joe so that gave him a lot of extra playtime. Once the 89 version came out he got even more use. 5) Alley Viper--Growing up with two brothers we would almost never get doubles of the named characters, but most of the time we would each get one of the nameless, faceless Cobra guys. For some reason though, I was the only one that got and Alley Viper, and that made him a bit more special. Add in all the cool gear, and you've got a winner. Vehicle: The Night Raven. Me and my brothers would have to share most of the big vehicles, but the Night Raven was all mine. It also helped that the Blackbird was my favorite airplane. How about you guys? What were your favorites? |

As a kid, I inherited what was left of my brothers' Joe collection. Most of the vehicles had all been sold at garage sales (Thanks, mom.) Out of the figures I played with Lifeline the most. He was such a badass figure.
Out of my own Modern Era collection, Tunnel Rat is probably my most played with. I'm also a big fan of the accelerator suit figures, but I swapped the heads. 25th Breaker's head is on my black accelerator suit(His head is perfect for it and is at least 100 times better than Channing Tatum's) and ROC Zartan's head is on the gold accelerator suit. Many epic battles have been faught between the two.

My most played with and therefore most cherished Joe toy was Croc Master. I loved this figure more than pizza, in fact if they had made a pizza flavored Croc Master I would have survived entirely off of plastic during childhood.

Okay, well there's most played with Joes and most played with vehicles. With the vehicles, you had to have the designated driver to pilot it so it was a given that those Joes got played with...
In no order of importance: Vehicles VAMP towing whirlwind w/Clutch HISS FLAK Cannon Killer Whale w/Cutter Skystriker w/Ace Joes Shipwreck Storm Shadow Cobra Commander Major Bludd Zap Rock 'n' Roll

I guess it would have to be Ace. Not that I really liked Ace that much, but I loved my SkyStriker. Since he was always in the cockpit while I was playing with it, that qualifies him.
