I notice a lot, maybe all but im not sure, vehicle molds since 25th still have the huge footpegs on them, i recently saw a rage and it sure looked like it had the old footpegs, the wavecrusher and dragonfish that came in the target packs have large footpegs on the back, the awe striker has large footpegs, the rhino has large footpegs... this isnt the end of the world but it really does suck, why wont hasbro retool those dies would it really be that expensive? kids across america are ending up with vehicles that have footpegs none of their figs fit because they have all new figs, just seems really lame and lazy and cheap to me. does anyone know if any vehicle will have properly sized footpegs?

The Awe Striker had 25th foot pegs sir.
The pegs on the sides fit 25th figures on it. |

I'll agree that I'm disappointed with the Rhino having the big pegs. But the Hiss tanks and AWE striker had smaller pegs. I could care less about the dragonfish cause I don't use it. But I was sad about the Rhino.

Hasbro isn't going to retool an entire vehicle just to fit the new peg holes on the 25th/Me/RoC/PoC figures - too expensive for a small change that few people are going to allow to change their minds about buying the toy.

i wish i could find a safe and easy way to whittle down the footpegs, like a modified pencil sharpener or something

I think it would be easier to drill out the hole on one of the Joes' feet. I've thought about doing that - having one larger hole for old stuff and leaving one small one for the new stuff - but I haven't taken the plunge yet.

I think the RHINO was the only vehicle with the old pegs. HISS and AWE have new footpegs. Not to mention new tooling in the VAMP/Stinger, Ghost Hawk and Sting Raider (Water Moccasin) to fit the larger 25th style figures. Even the Rattler got some beefing up.

Well, if you wanted to get real creative you could just cut the pegs of entirely. Then do the same to the pegs on some figure stands and glue those pegs with a really good super glue to the old location of the big pegs. It should work, just make sure you don't put any figures on the pegs before making sure their foot hole is worn a little loose so the pegs don't snap off in there.

Find some plastic stock in the desired diameter of the 25th foot pegs, Cut the old style peg off, drill a hole the diameter of the plastic stock where the old foot peg was, cut the new footpeg from the plastic stock and insert it into the hole, secure with a dot of super glue. |
