So, I only collect my fave characters, due to the whole college and long distance romance things taking my money. And my Joe team is SERIOUSLY out-numbered... Seems to me that Hasbro is pulling out all the named (and beloved) Cobra operatives and mainstays 'sides Mindbender and (toywise) Overkill, and other "mentionables" like Big Boa. Hell, we have Scarface and arguable Fred IV, for cryin out lout.
Yet where's Tunnel Rat? Cover Girl? Jinx? Lowlight? Chuckles? Mainframe? Barbeque? Blowtorch? Flint? (Yes, he was made, but A, the whole distribution thing, and B, where the BLEEP are his gloves?!?) Quick Kick? And we're getting DD versions of characters on the slithery side, yet where's our DD Shipwreck, or fave characters like Mayday, Barrel Roll, Kamakura and Reloaded Doc (she's one very common custom from what I've seen)? Seriously, am I alone in this? |

And it looks like we'll be getting green shirts before we get some real joes. I'd like to add Lifeline, Recondo, Rip Cord, Airtight, to your list and that's pre 87'. I don't know about you but I'm sick of this generic joe team based on the straight arms and also cartoon paints/based characters like Duke

Lifeline.....??? PLEASE...(Let's hope he is the last figure they make....)(Unless he comes with an RPG....then bring him on.)
I really hope they re-release some of the Wave 1 figures & then go on to do more JOES...I have too many cobra. I love Cobra n' all but I need some force/strength to me Joes. Greenshirts will defeniately be army built. I need a lot of random JOES.

I believe with the current success of the 25th line, Hasbro is milking collectors for every repaint or minor change they can. Who knows, this line might last as long as the ARAH line?

If the line lasted 3 years, I'd be extremely excited. |

I'm worried that you might be right. The movie figures will be targeted at kids while the 25th or "classics" (bad name) line will be aimed at collectors? 25th may continue but at a smaller scale. If it does get cut down we'll probably see more repaints and fewer new molds because there would be cuts in the line's budget.

Hasbro makes a killing off repaints. I was in TRU this morning looking at the movie Starscream and "movie" Thundercracker. They didnt change jack but the paint.
