I have always wated Hasbro to produce figures that compliment the JOE team... For instance, there are often mayors and gov't officials in the sotry line.
I think that i am going to make a custom figure line of these people.. i want to do a Commander in Chief figure... A. Would you buy it? B. Should i do Regan since he was the prsident for most of the JOE story line, or would Barack be better? (or anyoen else in the running for any reason)... Please be honest and please be specific. I dont knwo what i would charge... but say that the figure unded up being priced out at $25-$35..., |

I'd make president Whitmore from Independence day. That way in a jam he could jump in a skystriker and fight off alien invaders.
As an added benefit you won't have to make a new one every 4-8 years. But to answer your question: if I were looking at a shelf that had 1:18 scale representations of presidents kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush (41), Clinton, Bush (43) and Obama, you'd probably have to pry the Reagan figure out of my hands. I wouldn't do an actual president, I'd do a fictional one.
Pick a high ranking Joe and imagine he's left the team to enter politics. Perhaps president Flagg would be a good choice. |

I would love a line of presidents in the 25th/ME styling...
If i had to pick one, it would be Reagan (because my Joeverse always seems to be stuck in the 80's!)... But i would like to see all of the modern ones... And it wouldn't hurt to have a few shady Senators for those back room deals that always leave a few Joes stranded in places that end in Gordo or Stan... |

I was kinda disappointed when during the Obama mania when an action figure was put out for him it wasn't Joe-scale.
Yes I'd buy a president figure... though it would make conversations around here a bit interesting if Hasbro made any one specific president in their line.

No.
I'd love a Joe scale figure in a suit, or a line of scientists/techs and figures to use as hostages. But POTUS? Naw. Unless it was a collectible display line of alot of past ones. But then that wouldn't be part of the Joe playable line.

But then you could have Cobra take the president captive and replace him with a ssssssssynthoid. Or replace all the UN Delegates with Robots and have them vote Dr. Droom ruler of the world (sadly this was the actual plot to a Spider-man cartoon episode).
