Hey everyone,
I've been reading reviews of the anniversary joes since folks such as General Hawk, joecustoms members and Terry from yojoe.com recieved their figures. I've read reviews ranging from Mongoose' recent find in Colorado, to Leo's review over@JBL. The figures look great however there does seem to be room for improvement. Should hasbro alter the sculpts in future production runs? Will hindered hip mobility be present in wave 2 of the single packs? Should the battle packs be rereleased with a different production run with "fixes"? Fixes may include: -unhindered elbow articulation on GungHo, Duke, cobra trooper -tighter hinges for Gung-Ho's gun. -unhindered hip articulation/mobility(prevalent on Duke, Baroness, Scarlett, cobra trooper/officer) - harder plastic for hands or tighter grip -figures packed without weapons attached to hands/plastic ties(I think this is contributing to hands with weak grip, this happened before with the Venom vs Valor figures). -more mobility for torso ball joint -thicker neck pieces(better aesthetic) -solid base, rather than hollow Hasbro tends to fix or alter their toys fairly quick. I remember the Energon prime with mouth, it lasted a month before the mouthguard version took over. The above alterations can be easily done in my opinion. So does anyone think a battle pack 1.5 or "2.0" is possible? Since the battle packs will be in retail for a while, I will wait until we hear word from hasbro whether or not alterations will be made. In the mean time, I will buy the single pack figures and try very hard to resist buying the battle packs once I find them in person and stare at them multiple times. With the above alterations, they may come close to, if not surpass the old figures. |

It's a very small possibility that they've already done this. Everytime they were asked about articulation problems they always said wait till you have official released versions before you make any judgements....Maybe they already made the change but the first few cases getting out there are before the change was made or this may just be a sweep under the rug moment. Anyway, I say if it was good enough to do in 83 (straight arm to swivel) that can certainly make alterations for this line.
They'll probably not stop putting guns in the figures' hands since apparently the presentation of a toy sells it  but the hip joints and the elbows can definately be fixed |

Personally having the figures, I can say there is a few problems but IMO the only things I would like fixed is the elbow and thigh joints. Also the tiny grip for Cobra!'s rifle. He cant even hold it! A few other characters have slight problems with their guns but not near as bad as Cobra!
Having said that, I gotta say these 10 Joes are the best made As for re-releasing them with fixes, I'd rather see them re-issued on a single cards with new accessories rather than having to buy both sets again |

The assortment number may have a slight difference, and thankfully you'll be able to tell the difference with the figures since they are viewable in plain sight. Alterations and fixes would not surprise me as hasbro is usually quick to fix things. A production run with the given fixes/alterations could show up as soon as late july/august. I'd much rather have the guns/weapons displayed near their hands, rather than in them on the box. That was a problem with the previous figures, especially the VSV Snake Eyes. |

I'm sure they will get better as they go.
I agree with Spirit...these are the greatest figures still, the detailing and sculpting on them is awe-inspiring.

If anyone goes to SDCC, remember to ask a Hasbro rep about this!

Yes, big time.
My little rant: Baroness can't stand up on her own, she can't hold her gun due to the bar on the gun, Destro can't hold a gun in his holster(why the fuck have one then), Cobra Commander has a crooked wrist....why?! Only thing that looks good in his hand is the damn dagger he comes with...and he holds his gun on his back? Err...k. The Cobra Trooper can't hold his damn gun because the hand has too much space in it...and Storm Shadow has that same problem....can't hold his bow unless you get it perfect, and his swords lean to one side in his hand because he doesn't hold them tight enough. So LAME. They look great, but these flaws are extremely bothersome. IMO, old Joes are still better. |

He can hold the one placed next to him in package in his holster(the pistol, not the gun in the briefcase, nor the machine gun he is packaged holding). The dagger is meant for Baroness, both she and the trooper have daggers. The dagger is stored on the left leg of the cobra trooper. Cobra Commander's gun storage in his back is an homage to the original mail-away battle helmet Cobra Commander, which did the same thing and had the exact same gun. The Cobra Trooper dagger I have on him, but there was another dagger next to CC, so I assumed it was his. It's not so much the dagger that bothers me, but CC's bent wrist. Is it supposed to be like that, or did I just luck out and get a shitty CC with a bent wrist? Because it sure doesn't look right with a gun in his hand with his wrist bent that way. |
