Since Hasbro seems to be a big fan of snake eyes and produces a snake eyes figure with just about every wave of singles or comic packs, do you think they will make a 91 snake eyes? and when?
And do you guys even want to see this figure made? I was just a kid when this figure came out... I loved his outfit and mask! It would be interesting to see what type of weapons and rapling hook launcher hasbro would package with the figure! |

There is definitely a place for this guy somewhere in the future. Hasbro has just recently started doing the post '86 characters so it's not out of the question. If this line continues past '08 (which undoubtedly it will) then I could see this guy being made in the next couple of years. Personally, this is my least favorite of the ARAh SE and he is a figure I could live without. I'd buy him if Hasbro ever made him.

i really hope hasbro does not start producing 25an with srping-loaded launchers. i think that is ehwn the original arah line jumped the shark. i shudder thinking about being forced to purchase "rocket launchers" and junk like that again.

Japanese lettering on his arm gurads, thousands of little pockets, and just pretty good detailing all round.

I think the weapons helped make him useless as a ninja. or maybe the neon orange face plate. what a great place to draw the fire to. I'm sure we'll get him though.

Looks like Snake eyes is going on a motorcross mission....or a bad paint ball session.
I'd only buy him if he came with different ninja weapons that i could use for my red ninjas

If they just used different, more realistic weapons and maybe toned down some of the more neon bright colors used on some of the figs, I think a lot of the '90-'94 figures would be pretty good.

I liked that figure a LOT. That was actually the first Snake Eyes figure I got to handle. Sure I knew of the older ones, but only through pictures. This figure wasn't so over the top. There have been much worse that came afterwards. If he does make it in the anniversary line, I don't expect to see any neon. Instead of neon orange, we would probably get painted swords with crimson hilts. His gun would probably be silver or black, and he probably wouldn't have his packpack, he would probably get a scabbard instead.
This was a fresh take on Snake Eyes and the best looking version of the 90s. The Ninja force version went the minimalistic route, and the cancelled '95 figure would have irritated all of you. I like the 91 version of SE better than the old v3/88. |
