I know this is a bit early and nobody knows for sure but who cares, I'm asking anyways.
What do you think the chances are of them picking up where they left off and doing more of the vintage figures in the ME style will be? I don't mean giving us one here and there amongst the current line but really focusing on it again like they did with the 25th. I'm sure it really depends on a lot of things between now and then but I just wanted to hear some thoughts/hopes/doubts/etc. I know there are still plenty of figures they could do that people want and would buy. I'm sure we would get a lot of the staple figures re-released as well but hopefully not as many. Maybe even get some more vehicles out of it? Just a discussion, nothing more. |

would be great! I would also like to see Hasbro release some ARAH o-ring style figures again. 30th Aniv. would be a really great reason todo that. I'm envisioning something like the 97-98 3-packs or S"tars and Stripes". Some comic packs would also be cool.

Doubt anything will happen for the 30th anniversary. Too soon. Hasbro will be knee deep in whatever the next Joe stuff is and dealing with the 3rd movie (either in theatres or production) if at all possible.
So they'll be concentrated on that, and whatever the cartoon ends up being and the associated toyline if there ends up being one. As well as, hopefully, 2 comic book lines.

I imagine there would be a few Internet exclusives, but I wouldn't expect anything in the stores. I doubt we will see anything the scale of the 25th/ME release until the 50th anniversary. At that point, I will be too old to hunt them down without dragging along a Rascal

Who knows what the future holds for sure, but I think Troynos hypothesis is a pretty good guess.

I think its safe assumption that IF we got a 30th Ann. Everyone would jump on it.
Though with RoC/PoC and everything else going on, I dont know how cost effective its gonna be to spruce up some old figures for guys like us. I would like to think if they released something...anything, even if it was just a limited run of 1 figure or a 7 pack..etc that it would be done has a gesture of appreciation to the fans that came out of the woodwork for the 25th stuff. |

I think that depends on how the brand is doing by that point.
If RoC doesn't blow over and PoC does really well, and the comics continue to do well, and they've expanded the brand significantly over the next 2-3 years, I'd say there's a good chance of them making a big deal about it. If not everything goes well, I'd expect nothing more than a few figures specially marked in the main toyline with maybe a few internet exclusives, store exclusives, and maybe something obnoxiously overpriced at SDCC. But I would be willing to wager they will all be new sculpt, no o-rings.
