Uh, that's how supply and demand works my friend. If you don't have a Target in Ireland, you are gonna have to step up to the plate to get an exclusive item. I don't think your problem is the same as someone price gouging. Let's reverse it. Let's say I want a Celtic plaque that goes on the wall from an exclusive dealer in Ireland. I don't think I should complain about the price of shipping as I am the one who chose to purchase it while living another country away. It's not unfair that the people in Ireland can get it for cost as they live in Ireland. It's a give and take. I always ship first class to people with 100 stars or more as they seem to be more trustworthy. I would be happy to hook you up if I see one out in the wild. Send me a PM and I will sell you it for cost and you pay first class shipping if you are interested.

Ignore the comments on your purchase. You are like any other customer and unless there is a limit set on the item by the sotre itself, you are free to purchase all of them.
I found a few Serpent Armors a few months back and listed them on Ebay for around cost. To my suprise, they shot up to $60! I'm just glad I found the items before the other guys in my town that buy up everything. It's all about determination. No matter if you drive all over the city 50 times a week and waste all your gas, there will always be people out there that feel they "deserve" the same reward without giving an ounce of effort. lol. They are popping up more and more now so if anyone hasn't had a chance to get them yet, I don't see a problem within the next few weeks finding one. I have one but I gotta say, the White color still will always be my favorite. I fail to see how that perspective somehow means they feel they are entitled to the toys. sure, they don't have a right to it, and that's the repercussion of participating in a hobby that is occupied by other people of a different mindset and approach to toys. there is no right or wrong in this scenario. nobody is wrong for being so obsessed with toys that acquiring them is a major and important aspect of their lives, and nobody is wrong for simply approaching toy collecting recreationally. but tell me, which attitude makes it difficult to find toys and only fuels the need to have to scour stores, spend hours driving and checking every store you can find for toys and which doesn't. the people giving the "effort," as you applaud, make it difficult on themselves as well, because their obsession fuels other equally obsessed toy fanatics same obsessive drive to buy everything they find, which inherently is to get it before you. I don't think anyone who drives around from store to store to buy everything up can logically say they aren't obsessed, and anyone who is obsessed is probably equally irrational and compelled to buy to keep others from acquiring. not that it is wrong, but it is dishonest to say that they aren't fueled by that mentality. |

I think the main issue is that there are some people who consider toy collecting a...gasp....recreational hobby, and not an act that requires determination or effort. it's a toy! they don't drive all over looking for toys, they have jobs and more important responsibilities in their lives and simply stop at their local store and hope to find what they are looking for.

Again, it's not wrong either way, but people who do this causes a sense of hysteria which makes it difficult to be a collector. If I saw a dude walking through Target with 6 of the same item of which I'm after one, I'd wanna punch the dude in the face. Its a personal choice, I guess, I just feel bad about scooping up all of one item. |

I would let him know i'm a fellow collector and just ask if I can have one, exchange information and help each other out in the future. Thats what I did for someone with the Battle Stations. Joe collectors aren't complete a-holes.
I even have to start looking for stupid hot wheels treasure hunts now because one guy picks up the exclusives and variens taht only collects hot wheels either to resell or trade for HW stuff. I say if they have 6 in the cart, don't get mad until they tell you that they wont give one up to you because they have to sell them on ebay. |

I don't usually agree with many of your viewpoints, but I actually do on this one. I resell stuff a lot to help fund my collections, so call me a scalper, I don't care, but I never buy up all of a certain figure for any reason unless there's only one of said item.
