I was wondering after the Holidays or when ROC Waves1 & 2 sellout, will the prices for single carded figures go back up or stay at a reasonable $5.99 or less? I remember Fall 2008 when Target had figures for $4.99 to move all the Waves 7, 8, 10 that were overflowing the pegs. This year the big three (TRU, Target & Wal Mart) reduced prices to move the first two Waves, what do you think a POC figure would cost?

I would think that in the time between the last couple weeks before the holidays and the first wave of items in 2010 we would see prices go back up, maybe back to $6.99-$7.99, along the lines of what they were over the summer before the price drops, but if POC gets a fairly sized launch from Hasbro, we could see sale prices again.

Walmart will not have the prices go back up till mid/late Jan. Thats what we have done the last few years with mark downs on figures as I remember. Stay low for after Christmas buying then jack back up.

I would love to see price stay at 5-6 dollars but, I know in the back of my mind there not.

Chances are they will go up.
The price point for a 3-3/4" figure is $7.99 across all of Hasbro's lines (Star Wars, Marvel Universe, Wolverine, G.I. Joe). Joe went down in price to clear out all of the excess stock.

Nah nooo way will they stay $5. If RoC would of actually sold in the first place they wouldn't even of been reduced to $5! They aren't trying to do us any favors that's for sure. Ripping us off is like the order of the day for them.

A better question is will we see any figures released that are worth $5, before they raise the prices?

Just a side note.
When we scan an item for inventory at Walmart if shows us the price, and our profit margin. So you will see the name of the item on one line its price on the next then a % on the third. For RoC figures right now it reads: GI Joe Fig. Blah Blah $5.00 -20% Yup that's a minus sign. So Walmart pays $6.00 each for them from Hasbro according to our inventory tracking system. I work in the camera Dept. so I am used to seeing postive on this year's models and negatives on last year's as we try to move them out.

I hope it stays long enough for me to get the rest of the new figs. I found Charbroil, Night Adder, and Arctic SS for $5.00 each. Also saw tons of black-coat Docs and Arctic SEs
