seriously, I'm tired of finding wave 4 now...clearly a wave just for the sake of getting product out. I have the 5 packs, why would I want these? If I was a troop builder, then I'd by the air trooper, but the rest is pointless IMHO. I don't even consider them part of the single figures. I have every single figure that is out except for wave 4 (1, 2, 3, 5, and 6).
Does anyone consider these part of your single figure collection? I'm just curious if anyone felt they had to get them or their collection wouldn't be complete. Last edited by Fast_Draw; 02-24-2008 at 02:25 PM.. |

I didn't get any of the wave 4 single carded, except for air troopers, because i bought all of the 5 packs. I thought about buying an extra storm shadow and destro to keep carded, but i passed on that...

A lot of collectors requested for them to be carded. I personally like the singles just for the card art alone.

same here bought the 5 pack and the only reason for wave 4 is i guess for picky people who didn't get a 5 pack or who wanted them MOC for display.imo
and yes the AIR Trooper is the only one worth getting in that whole wave.. |

Some people like to display carded, and enjoy the card art itself. Personally, I grabbed a Duke and a RB for Tiger Force repaints.

There are a lot of people who collect them MOC. I thought about returning the 5 pack when wave 4 came out. How could you guys not want storm shadow MOC? And Destro? These guys are awesome. A wal mart near me got 4 cases of wave 4, within a week there are only 4 figs left.

If you are a MOC collector they are good for your collection. I like them better than the 5-packs but since I open everything I had no use to buy them over again except for the Air Troopers of course.

With the exclusion of a couple of Starscream figures, I have never collected toys MOC prior to the 25th line, but some of these I just can not resist buying and keeping unopened. It gives me a feeling as if I could go back to my childhood and have those figures in their original, unmolested states. In addition to Flint and Firefly, Duke and the original Storm Shadow were figures that I absolutely wanted to have in this manner (c'mon vintage boxed original Zartan with Swamp Skiier!).
So, I'm personally glad that we got wave 4 around here (finally). |
