I purchased the Crimson Hydra and was really disappointed in product. It felt cheap and looked cheap. Really it was too small to be great. I did not even bother with the Dragonhawk as it seems really small and feels cheap. What happened to the days when a joe vehicle was big and made well.
I bought the first wave of alpha, bravo and echo class vehicles but none have lived up to the expectations. The 25th anniversary vehicles were closer to the build of the old vehicles. I just could not pull the trigger on the Dragonhawk for $25. I could have pulled the trigger at 13 or 15 dollars. Since this was the cost for the same size vehicles in the 25th/ME lineup. I just want a better product for the price. |

DTC line a few years back had the Rhino for $30, and HISS, Ice Sabres and Humvees for around $15. Now the Ice Sabre is a $25 toy. 66% price increase from 2005-2006. Of course, the Crimson Hydra is itself just a Spy Troops era toy repainted. It was bad then; it's bad now, but now it costs 66% more than it once did...or actually 150% more than the non-electronic $10 versions offered briefly at Family Dollar stores in 2004. |

Gonna have to disagree with you on this. The Crimson Hydra is a decent size and it doesn't look cheaply made to me. I own it and like it

All the "valor vs. venom and spytroops" re-hash vehicles are just junk!
Hasbro could of done a great job but decided to bring back crap. The only decent vehicles worth getting are the 25th annie line.

When the spy troops plane came out I thought "oh they took the awesome F-117 Nighthawk stealth plane and cartoonized it making it bulbus and bloated and added an escape plane to the bottom" When I learned the Hydra was a rehash of that plane in magenta/maroon (depending on the part youre looking at since its made of two different plastics the coloring is in two shades) its now a bulbus bloated cartoonized nighthawk...in a rediculous color.

I picked up a vast amount of the 25th line vehicles. I love them. I have not been tempted to buy a single ROC vehicle. At a lower price I'd get a Rhino, but I can't justify it now. That drgonfly would have been great if it was bigger. DOn't even call that mess a Night Raven though... I would love to pick up a Stealth but it needs to be a friggin size and design that makes sense when displayed with other planes...
