Just curious what all you other tankers think about this? I don't like the movie or the ROC figures and haven't bought (nor will I) any of the figures. But, it brings up an interesting question. Since they have released all these different movie figures and seems to have no end in sight, ROC may very well be gi joe for all toy purposes in the near future. If so, then what we have now is all we have. Will it mean the end of days for those who only collect 25th style? Once you have all that has been released, there will be nothing to look forward to.

Hasbro is all about pushing this line for better or worse. Sadly those of us that like 25th and hate ROC are left out in the cold.

i expect some 25th exclusives in the distant future. too many people are upset for that toy line to be kaput.

I am already starting to like ROC more than the 25th/Modern Era line. I think ROC has great potential with the figures released so far and the ones yet to come. I have contemplated taking down my 25th/ME figures from the wall and replacing them with ROC figures...I will always like the 25th/ME line, but ROC is slowly starting to be my favorite run of joe figures...

If you look hard enough and the packaging doesn't bother you, there are 25th-style figures like the Tunnel Rat-Monkeywrench 2-pack, albeit with the RoC packaging. So, no, I don't think it's necessarily the end.

It is a shame to see the old style ARAH/25th style gone. The RoC stuff seems to be here to stay.
I would proctor something in that if some of these new figs were released on 25th style packaging, those who are die hard 25th fans would be jizzing in their pants. So really is it that bad? The RoC packaging leaves something left to be desired I agree but what can you do? Write a letter and tell them. Address is below.

I agree ... I suspect that some 25th Joes will emerge and be included as part of the PoC line next year.

Ridiculous. Hasbro knows how to milk a good cow: look at the continual resurgence of Transformers Classics, interspersed between movie and cartoon lines. All this doom and gloom is just fairly silly; 25th will come back in some form. I would suspect the packaging will be different, as will the name (after all, it's not the 25th anniversary anymore :P), but we will see in years down more figures with classic sculpts. Hasbro is a business, there is a market, aaaand viola~! Consumable product emerges.
