Have they? That's surprising to me. But then again, there are so few discussions now about ME 1/18 figures, at least on these forums.

On balance, if you consider scale, price point, sculpt quality and articulation, packaging, accessories, and vehicle selection...I'd say 2010/11 was peak modern Joe toys.

Some people would say 50th Anniversary 2014-17, but in my experience, the plastic and paint quality went downhill, and the price was probably higher, though I don't remember the exact price point.

I think POC and after seem to retain the love.

I have much more conflicted feelings about 25th. Yes, it brought on a Joe renaissance but many of those figs were awful. Tiny heads. Duke arms. Elbows that couldn?t bend 90. Hands that pointed down.

And all of those sculpted forearms like what they used for doc/duke etc. Or screaming Duke that was a terrible one. The 25th ushered in a brand new type of Joe figure but some were straight misses while some were hard to beat ..

What is your opinion of Classified Zandar? Have you seen a custom Zandar that you prefer?

Yeah 25th, its really a matter of "early 25th" and "late 25th". By the later waves, like late 2008 onwards, we were getting great figures like Eels, Snow Serpent, BATs, figures that still hold up. Some of the 2009 box sets too, the Alley Viper and Range Viper sets, the chrome faceplate Viper. I'd argue late 25th Anniversary was on par with POC or 30th, essentially. It just went through huge growing pains early on.

I think Hasbro should make another version of Zandar, maybe one with his DDP outfit. Or modernize his look to something else.
