The throat scar really brings even more mystery to Zandar. Now I think he did it to himself, to render himself absolutely silent. Being a master of silent weapons and all, he severed his own vocal cords to ensure absolute silence on missions. Like the way ninja were said to blind themselves to sharpen their other senses (correct me if I'm wrong).

Definitely a possibility and that actually does make a lot of sense. What better way to make absolutely certain he'd be completely silent than to cut or slice up his own larynx and vocal chord muscles! Twisted and dark!

he would have been a 20 of he had the color change feature .
Maybe an exclusive or something can happen and we can get that ..
